Brewster’s sister company Auger begin filming today with C4 for Series 2 of the popular Sarah Beeny show ‘Help my house is falling down’.
Auger, who specialise in drainage and subsidence investigations and repairs, were invited by Channel 4 to assist Sarah in Series 1 with some serious problems encountered by unlucky and unsuspecting homeowners.

Proposals to simplify Tree Preservation Order paperwork has been announced by planning minister Bob Neill.
As part of the government’s drive to cut red tape, the proposal aims to consolidate the legal provisions currently contained in regulations and tree preservation orders (TPO’s) in England.

This move should save councils thousands in administration costs each year by using a shorter and easier to understand model order.
This is good news for homeowners and insurers alike as the new process should not only remove ambiguities but ultimately speed up the often extremely complex and lengthy process of appeals and hearings when dealing with Local Authorities and tree related subsidence.
A Met Office study on how climate change could affect the frequency of extreme droughts in the UK has found a range of possibilities — the majority of them showing such droughts will become more common.
For insurers, dry spells mean an increase in subsidence claim numbers.

We can’t ignore the warnings that it won’t be long before the cracks start to appear as Britain’s insurance industry brace themselves for the predicted surge in subsidence claims following this year’s weather conditions.
The Met Office have reported that the UK has had the driest first 6 months of the year since 1929.

Auger, who specialise in drainage and subsidence investigations and repairs, were invited by Channel 4 to investigate with Sarah some of the problems encountered by some unlucky homeowners.
The series, which is currently showing on Tuesday evenings at 8:00pm, provides an insight into a variety of serious problems unsuspecting homeowners have inherited, from overflowing wells to cracks and subsidence.
Sarah investigates the cause of the problems, with assistance from Auger and other professionals, who offer the homeowners expert advice on how best to repair their homes.
The series, which covers some extreme defects, is sure to provide gripping entertainment and what better way to see Auger in action!
