& The Everyman Campaign

Brewster Associates is delighted to be supporting The Everyman Campaign and its fight against male cancers. The campaign is run by The Institute of Cancer Research, is Europe's first and only dedicated male cancer research centre.

The staff at Brewster Associates organise annual fund raising events for the campaign. 

In 2006 the team ran in the London Marathon and in 2007 successfully completed to Edinburgh Marathon.

Male Cancers - The Facts

• The incidence of male cancer is rising dramatically, yet far less is understood about the origins of male cancers than any other form of cancer.


• 2,000 new cases of testicular cancer are diagnosed each year in the UK.


• 30,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year - one man dies per hour as a result of prostate cancer in the UK.


• Awareness of male cancer is low and men remain notoriously bad at discussing health matters.


• A lack of funding has greatly restricted the amount of research being carried out into prostate and testicular cancer.


• In response to this unacceptable situation, Everyman was launched in 1997 to raise awareness and funding for male cancers. June 2006 will be the 9th annual Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Month.
